High School Career
Attended Luther Burbank High School in Sacramento, California 1970 to 1973. Swim team Sophomore and Junior years, received Varsity Letter. Graduated a year early as a Junior in 1973 at age 17.
Military Service
U.S. Army 1973 to 1976. Basic training at Fort Ord, Monterey County, California 1973. Advanced training Heavy Equipment Repair-62B20 at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri 1973-1974. Stationed in Bad Kreuznach, Germany assigned to the 8th Infantry Division 8th Signal Battalion 1974-1976. Received Honorable Discharge upon completion of 3 year military service obligation.
College Career
American River College, concentration in Business, 1974-1977, received Associate of Arts degree. California State University Sacramento 1978. Attended Sacramento City College and Modesto Junior College for specialized coursework 1980-1992.
Professional Career
Over 35 years as a public servant. Former police officer and 26 years working in information technology (IT), many of those years specializing in IT Project Management and IT Business Analysis. Currently working as a Digital Forensic Examiner and Cyber Investigator.
CJUSD Volunteer Activities
2005 to Present. Became involved in district activities in 2005. Active with Measure N Bond Citizens Oversight Committee since it’s inception in 2008, having served 3 terms and currently serving as the Vice-Chair. Active with the Districts IT Advisory Committee beginning in 2006 as 1 of only 2 community members that have participated in the committee. Sat on the Districts’ Sesquicentennial Event Planning Committee for over a year. Was assigned and responsible for discovering which order Center School District placed, determining that it is the 3rd oldest school district in the State.
