As a Governing Board Member of the Center Joint Unified School District, my primary focus will be to ensure that the education, safety and security of the students are the foremost priority in all decision making. I will promote common sense measures so our children can learn to think for themselves while respecting our laws, values and freedoms.
This is my first time running for public office. I am not a career politician – just someone who cares about the future of our children. I have been a civil servant the last 36 years, 33 of which I have lived in the Antelope community. I have over 15 years of volunteer services in various capacities within CJUSD that will bring a broad perspective to this position.
I’ll be fair, impartial and treat all students, parents, guardians, teachers, staff and members of the community equally with dignity and respect so that opportunities are available to learn, teach and work in a safe and secure environment by all.
The community deserves Board Members who will be fair, honest and open minded and will serve the district with integrity, compassion and candidness. I am eager and willing to devote the necessary time and energy this position deserves.
